Inspired by the ultimate binary, life and death, Farish conveys verbal meaning through visual cues. She begins by stenciling opposing words, then creates compositions so the words visually cohere. Farish also integrates visual themes evident in engineering plans inherited from her father's career. These works are part of a collaborative installation with Lauren W. Kennedy curated by Shana Dumont Garr.
